I have a horrible girl crush on the doctor I work for.
She’s incredible in every sense of the word. I want to brag about her to our patients and in comparison to all the other doctors I’ve shadowed with, she has been the most educational and has allowed me so much hands on experiences at the discretion of each patient.
She went to the school I’m HOPING to get into. She joined so many student organizations, started POPS at UTD and has brought back 1st place awards left and right from POPS regional conferences. She became an admissions interviewer while in school during her 3rd year and went through interview questions with me. She doesn’t hesitate to correct me or give me tips on how to improve my applications.
She chose to do the harder externships because she felt like the group of patients she saw regularly at UHCO were uninteresting. So she specialized in glaucoma management, cataract management, and dry eye management. She started her practice within 9 months of graduating from optometry school and married her boyfriend of 7 years right after.
AND SHE’S SO YOUNG. PEOPLE THINK WE’RE SISTERS BECAUSE SHE’S ONLY 4 YEARS OLDER THAN ME.
I have an oily T zone and it bothers me during the day, which causes me to wash my face about 4 times a day. Then my skin hates me even more and turns red and flaky because I’m obsessively washing it. Not with this stuff though, and thanks to the wonderful people at Lush for sampling it on my skin first and then giving me a $5 cut that will last me a good month!.
Aside from usual Clinique toner, this one comes close and is probably better than the one I previously used. It’s light, airy, not too drying and makes my skin feel like I just dipped it in rose water. It calms my dry skin more than my previous toner.
Tea tree oil
It’s strong smelling but it’s the quickest blemish remover I know of to this day. A small dab with a q-tip and leave it overnight, and it does wonders.
Olay night moisturizer
I don’t know the exact name of the product and I’m way too lazy to walk into my bathroom to get it. It’s a simple night creme with just anti-wrinkle properties, no SPF things to it since it’s made to be worn to bed. A few dabs of this on my face and a quick pat down to increase blood flow to my face and I’m out.
All I need now is to find a cure all eye cream. My eyes are ridiculously tired looking with those dark bags underneath them. IF ANYONE HAS A SUGGESTION LET ME KNOW I NEED TO TRY IT.
“The desire to go home that is a desire to be whole, to know where you are, to be the point of intersection of all the lines drawn through all the stars, to be the constellation-maker and the center of the world, that center called love. To awaken from sleep, to rest from awakening, to tame the animal, to let the soul go wild, to shelter in darkness and blaze with light, to cease to speak and be perfectly understood.”—Rebecca Solnit, (via leeyesa)
