at University Theater 8PM. House opens at 7:30 and I would love all you lovely UTD folk to come out and watch the hard work everyone’s put into this very small production (compared to Side Show last year, the cast is smaller and the production is smaller) BUT you’ll still enjoy it.
So if you’re in a relationship, single, widowed, divorced, married, engaged etc. come watch a series of vignettes that covers all the categories of love and whiney relationships. You’ll enjoy it. We’ll enjoy it. EVERYONE WILL ENJOY IT!
I went with a friend and her gay friend. Sara and Caleb. 1st instance:Passwords get you in for free. This particular night the password was “Lasers.” Inside, it looks like any other club with an elevated stage-esque thing in the middle with many shirtless men dancing to the beat, or just to the beat of each other. We start dancing in one corner until an Asian couple catches Caleb’s eye. One male and one female. The female (we’ll call her SUE) was raveously attacking a very well endowed lady on the floor. Flips the lady over and starts attacking her boobs. From here, I see the dress getting undone by SUE (who is evidently on X) and basically SUE tackles the lady down on the floor and starts going at her panties. Luckily, the SUE’s male counterpart pulls SUE away and the lady’s partner pulls her off the floor. (Sue’s counterpart is actually her brother, he was there because his partner was there with his wife…) ON GOING. Sue grabs Sara and grabs at Sara’s boobs and then pulls me in front and starts asking questions. One of them being “Yu Hab boyfren?” I answered yes and SUE starts raping my leg. When her little fingers started peeling away at my dress and into my bra, I pushed her back onto her brother and onto Caleb and Caleb took sara and I to a different area. 2nd instance: I have jittery eyes, and in a club, my eyes catches other peoples eyes and good few seconds of eye contact and then I move on. This time, Caleb has his shirt off and is dancing to himself. Random creeper guy is in a corner texting and I made eye contact by accident every 3 seconds. Within minutes, his friend is up behind me. At a reasonable distance he stayed, until his hands had grasped my body and I turned around and slapped his hand much like a mother would to a child. “NO! BAD! NO NO!” says I. He continues dancing behind me and when his hands made contact with my body I turn around again and poked him in the eye (BY ACCIDENT) and slapped his wrists.Man: Where yu from?Me: Vietnam, I came to America yesterday.Man: Don’t get mad, just some fun, right?Me: No.Man: What are you afraid of?Me: *points to ring* My husband will KILL YOU.Man: WHAT? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?Me: i thought you just wanted to dance, not sex me up.Man: Well, where is he?Me: He’s working, he’s a bartender, the big white guy over there. Man runs off and Caleb and Sara enjoy the sight enough to go out the patio to cool down. 3rd instance:someone tried to engage in a conversation including neuroscience. This guy knew enough words to sound smart, not enough to accurately connect information to information. Sara frustrated tried to explain to him the difference from nicotine and cocaine. We gave up and just agreed with him. Caleb spots the guys I had lied to earlier and we ran. However, upon walking back to the car, the spot us outside and ask me about my husband. I told him he had to finish working. Man: What’s yo’ name?Me: ELIZABETH. BUT THAT’S MY AMERICAN NAME.(by this point, Caleb and Sara link arms with me)Man: What about your Vietnamese name?Me: LEE- HUANG. (starts running towards car)Sara: my middle name feels molested, Kristina. Caleb is ridiculously adorably cute :]
“17 In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.”—1 John 4:17-19
